Your key to living authentically, joyfully, and in alignment with your True Self.
Step 1: Choose and Act on What Excites You
What excites you most in this moment?
• Whatever options are available to you in any given moment, choose the one that contains more excitement than any other—even if it’s just slightly more exciting than the others.
• Act on your excitement, your passion, whatever is most exciting to you, in the moment. Do this every moment that you can.
Practical Tools:
• Ask yourself: “What feels fun, interesting, or energizing right now?”
• Practice mindfulness: Pause to notice subtle feelings of joy or curiosity.
Example:
If deciding between tasks, choose the one that feels even slightly more enjoyable or inspiring. Do this with integrity.
Step 2: Take It as Far as You Can Go
How far can you take it?
• Do this to the best of your ability. Take it as far as you can go until you cannot take it any further.
Practical Tools:
• Set milestones: Break down your actions into achievable steps and track your progress as you go.
• Time-blocking: Allocate focused time to work on it without distractions.
Example:
If writing a book excites you, fully commit to drafting a chapter. Set aside two hours daily, write with focus, and stop when you feel you’ve exhausted your ideas. Maintain integrity by writing authentically, staying true to your voice, and avoiding shortcuts that compromise quality.
Step 3: Let Go of Expectations
Are you open to unexpected outcomes?
• Act on your excitement/passion with absolutely no insistence, assumption or expectation of what the outcome should be.
• Focus on the process, not the result.
Practical Tools:
• Use affirmations: “I trust the process and remain open to possibilities.”
• Reframe setbacks: View them as guidance toward something better.
Example:
If you’re starting a new project, enjoy the act of creating without worrying about how others will receive it.
Step 4: Stay Positive
How can you maintain your alignment?
• Choose to remain in a positive state regardless of what happens.
• Use challenges as opportunities for growth and learning.
Practical Tools:
• Practice gratitude: Reflect on what’s going well.
• Reframe negative situations: “What’s the lesson or hidden benefit here?”
Example:
If plans don’t work out, focus on what you learned or how it might open a new door.
Step 5: Transform Limiting Beliefs
What’s holding you back?
• Regularly examine your belief systems to uncover fears or assumptions that block your excitement.
• Replace limiting beliefs with empowering ones that support your goals and authentic self.
Practical Tools:
• Journaling prompts: “What fear might be stopping me?” or “What would I believe if I fully trusted myself?”
• Visualization: Imagine living free of the belief and how that feels.
Example:
If you think “I’m not talented enough,” replace it with “Every step I take helps me improve and grow.”
Additional Tips for Success
1. Start Small: Excitement doesn’t have to mean grand gestures. Tiny actions, like taking a walk or calling a friend, can lead to big shifts.
2. Track Your Progress: Keep a journal of moments when you followed your excitement and how they impacted your life.
3. Be Patient with Yourself: If you’re not sure what excites you, allow yourself to explore without pressure.
