Reiki Healing

A friend of mine called the other day and mentioned how she was interested taking some Reiki classes after her most recent Reiki session (Reiki massage).

Note: Some Reiki masters will offer massage but it’s not required to touch the body to receive Reiki.

Reiki is an energetic healing practice to move, clear and balance energy in the body. It’s a Japanese energy healing practice.

Does it heal the body? A byproduct of getting a Reiki session or doing any energetic practice to balance your energy is cleaning up your energetic body which assist your body in healing itself. If someone says they can heal you or that they are healing you, that’s false. It’s you that does it, they are simply bringing in high vibrational energy to your body and assisting you with your energetic body. You can consider them an Energetic Therapist.

An energy therapist is a practitioner who uses noninvasive techniques to work with the body’s energy field to improve a person’s health and well-being. Energy therapies are based on the idea that imbalances in the body’s energy field cause illness and other problems.

Energy work is a forgotten practice in the West… here is why its important..

Throughout the day we pick up energy from others, people put things on us, maybe someone thinks of you negatively, etc etc and that is all thrown on your energetic body. You need to be clearing this daily, especially if you’re sensitive to energies (looking at you empaths).

Personally when I take a shower, I also do a quick energetic cleanse at the same time.

The Lost Art of Energetic Clearing & Balancing

It’s like taking a shower, brushing your teeth, putting on a fresh pair of clothes. You feel fresh and clean in the moment but through everyday activities, stresses, etc.. you pick up more debris which needs to be cleared.

Let me explain… in the past people were much more connected with nature.. they touched grass, they laughed and moved often, they moved their body and thus their energetic body.. they MOVED. They probably didn’t bottle things up because society says they have to and or they didn’t suppress and silence themselves. They didn’t sit all day and not move which stops energy movement.

In today’s society, some people are taught to suppress their feelings. They’re taught to be silent and not to speak back. They don’t go outside as much but instead they work in offices with little movement. The food they eat is often heavy and dense.

The world today is much different than it was thousands of years ago, let along 50 years ago where people were much more active.

People weren’t meant to live this way.. and if you look at society today you can see how much pain people are in.. men especially are suffering because they are told not to show their emotions and their outlet is much smaller if they have an outlet at all for their emotions.

All that suppression and energetic stagnation in the body festers and builds and builds until you have symptoms related to emotional dysregulation

Reiki moves that stagnant energy through the body which assist in feeling refreshed and light after the session but more than that the Reiki practitioner channels high vibrational energy to the individual to asset in rebalancing energy in the body (which is how the energetic body is meant to be)

As old stagnant energy is transmuted and fresh high vibrational energy replaces it, the individual feels refreshed, light, and probably giddy! Almost like a heavy weight has been lifted

What is the energetic body?

Imagine this.. there is an exact copy of the physical body in energetic form. This energetic form is like a template in which the body is structured. This energy body comes BEFORE the physical.

If that energetic form is damaged, brused, has a heavy fog on it, etc.. that will affect the physical form. Doing an energetic cleanse every so often is a very good practice and Reiki is just one of the ways that it can be done.

As previously mentioned I do a daily cleanse as part of my shower routine. This is as simply as imaging a waterfall of high vibrational energy washing over my body and clearing away heavy dense energy.

And while clearing the energetic body is a good practice, it’s even better to go to the ROOT of the issue in the first place which can be unresolved trauma, it can be self-limiting beliefs, it can be a bad habit such as suppression your emotions, etc.

  1. Have a energetic practice to clear and balance your energetic body daily
  2. But also look at what causes the imbalance in the first place and address it
    • Look at your unresolved traumas
    • Audit your self-limiting beliefs and reprogram them
    • Learn to acknowledge your emotions, not to bottle them up

To your success!

My notes that prompted this post:

To heal… energetically

  1. Use energetic practice to clear away debris and to see clearly
  2. Turn off whatever it is that causing the debris

Energetic exercises are great but they don’t go to the root of the problem, that’s not their purpose.

The root needs to be looked at and addressed which is often a fear that is nonsensical.

It’s a fear of xyz.. often a big one is lack of perceived safety .. which if examined logically can be addressed and no longer affects the person

Do an energetic practice to get into the right frame of mind to see things clearly.. and then examine the root objectively

It’s stepping out of the subjective frame of mind and observing from an objective perspective.. seeing it from a different angle..

And then turning it off is just as easy as letting go, surrendering, etc.. letting go of that control and handling it over to the universe or whatever concept you like to use here..

That is emotional regulation and more

If you have any questions I’d love to assist!
